Autumn at the Foot of Snowy Mountains – Japanese Chigiri-e Shikishi with Kakejiku Scroll, Vintage Showa

Original Japanese paper collage in the traditional chigiri-e technique, created on a shikishi art board during the Showa period. Presented together with a vintage Japanese hanging scroll (kakejiku) designed for interchangeable artworks.

A colorful autumn landscape featuring snow-covered mountains, trees in rich seasonal colors, and blue water in the foreground. The composition is created from layers of colored washi paper, using naturally torn edges and delicate paper fibers to produce soft transitions, depth, and distinctive textures. The artwork bears a red artist's seal.

The shikishi is secured to the scroll with four corner holders and can easily be replaced with another artwork of the same format. The hanging scroll features decorative textiles and brocade bands with a gold-toned geometric pattern.
