Original Japanese ink and color painting on traditional shikishi board, dating to the late Showa period.
A striking composition of red bamboo rendered in bold, свобод brushwork against a deep black painted ground. The contrast between the red-orange stalks and leaves and the dark background gives the work a strong graphic presence. Signed and sealed by the artist.
Material and technique: Paper, ink and color; black background painted by hand.
Size: Approximately 24 × 27 cm.
