Original Japanese painting on shikishi, dated September 1, 1965, Shōwa period.
The reverse inscription identifies the subject as “Hagoromo no Matsu,” the celebrated Hagoromo Pine at Miho no Matsubara, associated with the traditional Hagoromo legend.
The painting is signed Genshū and bears a red artist seal. The reverse repeats the artist’s name and records that the work was executed after an existing model. It also contains a commemorative inscription marking a professional promotion and the exact date, September 1, 1965.
Ink and color on traditional Japanese shikishi board. The original accompanying wrapper is preserved.
