Original Japanese ink painting on traditional shikishi board, dated April 1968 (Shōwa 43).

The work is signed with the artist’s art name Kōhō and marked with a red artist seal. The inscription on the reverse gives the artist’s full name, Saitō Kan'ichi, together with the exact date of execution.

The composition is built around a broad circular brushstroke that unites the figure of Daruma with the form of an ensō.
