Original Japanese sumi-e painting on shikishi, Late Shōwa to early Heisei period. A restrained monochrome ink work combining free brush painting and calligraphy within the fine outline of a traditional folding fan. The soft, almost transparent brushwork closely echoes the meaning of the verse.
Signature and red artist seals are present.
