Ink and color on shikishi board. The work depicts a tanuki, the Japanese raccoon dog, holding a small umbrella while balancing along a red line. The composition is executed in a loose modern manner, with open space, simplified brushwork and a humorous animal subject.
The work is signed and sealed.
