Kaburagi Kiyokata was one of the leading Japanese nihonga painters of the 20th century, especially known for bijinga, images of female beauty. His work preserved the visual memory of Tokyo, seasonal life, and refined urban culture from the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa periods.

Original vintage Japanese woodblock print in shikishi format. The falling snow is applied over the printed image in raised white pigment, probably gofun. The raised white pigment gives the snow a visible surface texture and is an important technical detail of the work.

Condition

Vintage condition. Vintage works may show natural signs of age (light toning, small fiber creases, gentle edge wear), so please review the photos carefully.
