Original Japanese poetry book, handwritten and hand-painted on washi. Meiji-Taisho period. Traditional stitched book format. More than 100 pages with poetry and ink illustrations executed by hand.

The book belongs to the poetic visual line of Buson heritage and the culture of haiga. Brief poetic forms and hand-drawn ink images run through the volume as a continuous visual-poetic sequence. Figures, everyday scenes, plants, and object motifs structure the book page by page.

More than 100 hand-executed pages make it a substantial and unusually coherent work. In its graphic rhythm and treatment of figures, the book at times comes close to early manga. A unique master album, not a mass-produced edition.
