Vintage Japanese Buddhist temple kakemono (kakejiku) from the Shōwa period. The central printed sheet presents a compilation of Kannon images associated with the Saigoku 33 pilgrimage temples and is mounted as a large hanging scroll.
This work belongs to the Japanese temple tradition of Buddhist pilgrimage imagery. It combines devotional function with a structured visual overview of the Saigoku Kannon circuit and would have served as a religious display connected with prayer, protection, and pilgrimage memory.
