Vintage late Shōwa Japanese ink shikishi – zen calligraphy

Japanese shikishi executed in ink, late Shōwa period. The composition is built around a single large calligraphic character in a Zen manner. A signature and red seal are present in the lower right corner. Attributed to a Japanese artist of the second half of the 20th century.

Free Zen calligraphy, semi-cursive (gyōsho), focused on a large brush gesture.
