Set of two original Japanese illustrated postcards from the early 20th century.
One postcard depicts a portrait of the historical figure Kojima Takanori, known for his loyalty to the imperial cause in medieval Japan.
The second postcard shows a historical genre scene traditionally captioned as a “father and son with a ritual cup,” a didactic motif without specific personal identification.
Both postcards were printed in Japan for domestic and international postal use and feature bilingual postcard backs.
