These sheets relate to Buddhist temple and lay practice and were used as reference texts for sutra recitation and for activities connected with the practice of sutra copying (shakyo).

The printed forms are based on calligraphic models from the temple tradition, giving the text a clear rhythm and balanced visual structure. In addition to their practical use, such sheets are also appreciated today in contemplative or interior settings.
