Antique Taishō–Shōwa Japanese ink tanzaku – man with staff and goat

Original Japanese artwork in tanzaku format, executed in ink on paper. The composition depicts a man holding a staff, with a goat shown beside him. The figures are rendered in a simplified manner using diluted ink and restrained brushwork. The work bears an artist’s red seal.

The stylistic character and overall execution correspond to the Taishō to early Shōwa period.
