Vintage Japanese shikishi with a small genre composition, created in the Taishō–early Shōwa period. The work is painted on an early 20th-century shikishi board. The figures are rendered with traditional pigments and white highlights, using controlled and confident brushwork typical of decorative and genre painting of the time. An artist’s signature is preserved on the right side.
