Vintage Japanese shikishi created in 1959. The work shows a pine branch painted in ink and color, a traditional symbol of resilience, longevity and seasonal renewal. Next to it is a large calligraphic character expressing the idea of calm and inner balance.

A date from the late 1950s is written along the side, and the artist’s seal is placed below. This type of shikishi belongs to the decorative seasonal works of the Showa period, commonly made as New Year or winter gift compositions.

Good vintage condition with natural age traces along the edges.
Size approx. 24 × 27 cm.
