Vintage Japanese shikishi featuring a single ink-and-wash study of a turning horse. The animal is shown in a poised, slightly rotated stance, rendered with soft grey washes and confident sumi lines. Additional calligraphic strokes at the lower part belong to the artist’s compositional practice and studio training.
In the lower left corner the work bears an artist’s signature and a small orange seal, consistent with Shōwa-period studio production and gesture-based sumi-e studies.
Original shikishi board with natural surface aging.
Approx. size 24×27 cm.
Condition: good vintage condition; natural age toning, light foxing, minor edge wear, preserved surface, no restoration.
