Vintage Japanese shikishi depicting a horse rendered in ink with a light ochre wash. The animal is shown with its head lowered and the body leaning forward, creating a compressed, expressive posture rather than a running movement. The composition follows the suibokuga approach, using economical brushwork and minimal colour to model the form.
The front side includes the artist’s signature and a red seal.
The reverse side carries only a studio seal, without drawing.
