Vintage Japanese shikishi with an ink study of a horse, dated to the early–mid Shōwa period.
The composition shows a horse with a lowered, attentive head, painted in broad, direct sumi brushstrokes. Light tonal wash defines the body, while the overall manner reflects study and practice sheets typical of suibokuga work from this period.
Signature present, no seal.
Condition: vintage condition, with natural signs of age and gentle surface toning. Reverse side without drawing.
