A single-side shikishi board showing a working horse study: an initial graphite sketch and a finished ink figure placed over it. This type of layered practice is typical of studio studies, where composition is first established in pencil and then resolved with sumi and light color.
Medium: ink, light color and graphite on washi mounted to shikishi (approx. 24 × 27 cm).
Condition: vintage condition, with natural signs of time, light edge toning and minor age spots; surface preserved in its original state.
