Vintage Japanese ink scroll from the late Shōwa period. The painting is executed in ink on silk and depicts a classic mountain landscape in the san sui tradition: distant peaks in mist, a dense pine forest, small thatched houses of a remote mountain village, and a traveler crossing a narrow bridge. The composition combines soft ink washes with refined dry-brush details, reflecting the late-Shōwa continuation of traditional landscape painting.

The artwork is mounted in a traditional gold-toned textile brocade. A signature and a red artist’s seal are present at the bottom.

Style note:
Late-Shōwa san sui in the academic Shijō/Nanga tradition.
