Vintage Japanese amulet made from natural plant fibers, identified as rindō (竜胆, gentian).
Gentian is a traditional flower in Japan, symbolizing endurance, health, and longevity. It blooms late in the season, when most flowers have already faded, and is cherished as a sign of resilience.

This piece represents a small amulet (omamori-like charm), crafted during the Shōwa era (ca. 1960–1970s). It is hand-made in the spirit of Japanese folk craft (mingei), with a loop for hanging.

The amulet is preserved with a transparent package labeled 「りんとう」 (rindō), confirming its meaning and cultural value.
Unlike tourist souvenirs, this piece functions as a symbolic charm intended to embody the strength and healing power of the gentian flower.

Condition: Vintage condition, natural wear due to age. Original package included.
Period: Shōwa era, ca. 1960–1970s
