Original Japanese shikishi (decorated square board), ink on handmade washi, featuring the calligraphy 清 (Sei – Purity) and minimalist brush paintings of essential tea ceremony tools: chawan (tea bowl), chasen (bamboo whisk), and chashaku (tea scoop).

The inscription and seals belong to Haibu Yoshimitsu (俳步 義光), a 20th-century calligrapher and artist of the Showa period, connected with the aesthetics of Zen and the Way of Tea (Chadō).
