A beautiful antique Japanese woodblock print depicting a serene riverside scene with a wooden bridge, tea house, and two women in elegant kimono. This design is inspired by Hiroshige’s famous One Hundred Famous Views of Edo series — but with the updated title cartouche “東京名所 本田寺の糸” (Famous Places of Tokyo – Honda Temple’s Thread), indicating this is a later re-edition after Edo was renamed Tokyo in 1868.

This is not a modern reproduction — it is a genuine traditional print on Japanese washi paper, hand-printed using the classic mokuhanga technique.
Smaller chūban format versions like this were often published in the late Meiji and early Showa periods for collectors and visitors.

Condition
✔️ Bright original colors with beautiful bokashi gradient in the sky.
✔️ Printed on delicate washi paper with some minor edge wear and small paper tears typical for its age (see photos).
✔️ Artist signature “Hiroshige ga” is present; simple round seal below — typical for later editions.
✔️ No modern reprint marks; unmounted, unframed.

Historical Note
Small-format Hiroshige reprints (chūban) were popular souvenir editions for domestic and foreign collectors in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. They are sought-after today as authentic examples of traditional Japanese woodblock printing.
