A serene hand-colored Buddhist print depicting a celestial musician (hiten, apsara) playing a flute.
Printed in black outline and delicately hand-painted with pigments on washi paper, this work represents the balanced mid-style of the Kyoto–Nara Buddhist decorative school.
The soft coloring and flowing lines express harmony between traditional butsuga imagery and nihonga aesthetics.

A small paper patch on the reverse covers a minor ink correction — a typical feature of hand-finished workshop pieces.
No signature or seals.

Dimensions: 15.5 × 19.5 cm
Medium: Woodblock print with hand-applied color on washi
Origin: Japan, early–mid 20th century
Condition: light wear, small paper loss at corner, minor workshop repair on reverse.

A refined and meditative Buddhist image from the Kyoto–Nara tradition.
