Vintage 1955 Japanese ink and watercolor shikishi – reclining nude

Ink and watercolor on traditional shikishi board, dated 1955 on the reverse. The work is executed in a modernist manner with a focus on contour drawing and flat spatial construction. The line serves as the primary expressive element, linking the composition to European mid-century modernism and the École de Paris tradition.
