Vintage Taishō–Shōwa Japanese silk painting on shikishi – Floral branch with butterfly

Vintage work from the Taishō–early Shōwa period, executed in Japanese painting technique on silk mounted to a traditional shikishi board. The composition shows a floral branch with soft pink blossoms and a small butterfly, rendered in the gentle botanical manner characteristic of the early 20th century.
Signature and seal are present in the upper left area; attribution remains provisional. The surface and tone show natural signs of age, and the corners of the gold border display small losses consistent with long-term storage.
