A Japanese shikishi with an image of bamboo, executed in ink with red pigment. The work corresponds to the early–mid Shōwa period. The brushwork is confident, with a characteristic treatment of stalks and leaves typical of this era. A signature and a square seal are placed in the lower area. The texture and tone of the paper match vintage Japanese shikishi of the mid-20th century.

Simplified suibokuga with added pigment.
