Vintage Japanese Shikishi Painting – “Bird Song at Dawn” – Signed by Gochiku (昭和時代)

An elegant Japanese shikishi (色紙) painting depicting a lively bird in mid‑flight, accompanied by a poetic inscription: “The chirping awakens the dawn before the window.”
Signed Gochiku (五竹) – the artist used the seal name (gō) also shown in two red seals, with the inscription noting his age of 82 at the time of painting.

Executed in the refined kacho‑ga (bird‑and‑flower) genre, with soft ink washes and delicate brushwork typical of the Shijō school style of the Shōwa period (mid‑20th century).
