Vintage early Shōwa Japanese watercolor shikishi – festival hoko cart

A Japanese shikishi with a watercolor and ink depiction of a miniature festival hoko cart. The composition reflects early Shōwa decorative painting, using a light, expressive line and soft color fields. The scene includes the tall red hoko tower, ritual paper ornaments, and a bundled section of bamboo, elements associated with traditional summer processions and Kyoto festival imagery. The signature and red seal are placed in the lower area of the work, consistent with studio shikishi painting of the period.
