A captivating Daruma (Bodhidharma) brush painting in the expressive Zen art (zenga) style. Signed Eikō hitsu and sealed with a matching red square seal, this work shows a bold sumi ink figure with a powerful single brushstroke kanji dominating the composition.

The calligraphy reads “Practice Zen; in time, all becomes emptiness.”
Created on a traditional shikishi board (approx. 24×27 cm) using sumi ink and subtle earth pigments. The natural aging of the paper and backing suggests the Taishō–early Shōwa era (c. 1920s–30s).
