Antique Japanese shikishi from the Taishō–Shōwa period, painted in soft sumi-e ink. A quiet winter village with a thatched-roof house, gentle mist-like washes, and a traveller crossing a small bridge. Signature and seal are placed on the left side.
Style Note
Monochrome sumi-e brushwork with the characteristic soft tonal transitions of the Taishō–Shōwa era.
Condition
