A vintage ink-and-color painting from the Shōwa period, depicting a stylised kabuki actor with soft facial shading, expressive brow accents and a traditional stage hairstyle. The calm, slightly distant expression and patterned kimono reflect the theatrical language of kabuki portraiture in mid-Shōwa decorative graphics. The original painted sheet was later mounted on a gold shikishi board in a workshop, giving it a stable presentation format and enhancing the theatrical character of the motif.
