Amaterasu Omikami

Amaterasu Omikami, “the great sacred goddess who shines in the sky” or “who rules in the sky”) is the sun goddess in Japanese mythology, one of the presiding deities of the all-Japanese Shinto pantheon, according to Shinto beliefs, the ancestor of the Japanese imperial family.

The seller was extremely prompt in shipping my kakejiku and gave me courteous updates. The kakejiku is lovely! It was wrapped very carefully and arrived much sooner than anticipated. A beautiful addition to my collection of Japanese art.
