Vintage Japanese shikishi painted in ink during the Shōwa period. The work shows a white heron standing on a rock beside bamboo stems. The composition follows the suibokuga tradition: soft grey–black ink, clear lines and a calm tonal balance creating a sense of quiet presence.
The shikishi belongs to the decorative studio painting of early–mid Shōwa and is executed on a traditional firm shikishi board with a gold border.
