Vintage Shōwa-period Japanese shikishi. Watercolor and ink depicting a rural courtyard with thatched roofs, a figure at work and small birds in the foreground. The composition is rendered in a light, post-war manner typical of the later Shōwa decades. Artist’s signature and two seals are placed in the lower right corner.
